BCS Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection
This course is designed for data protection officers, information governance leads, compliance officers, and managers who have responsibility for overseeing data handling activities within their organisation.
The course covers the key principles of data protection law and explores the role of the data protection officer, including responsibilities for accountability and governance. It examines lawful bases for processing and consent, the rights of individuals such as subject access requests, and how to manage data breaches effectively. Participants also learn about working with processors, establishing appropriate contracts, and applying risk management practices to ensure compliance. The course runs from 23 to 26 March and is priced at £1,200.
