Kev Haines joins Specialist Skills Hub as Skills Coach and DPO

We are delighted to welcome Kev Haines to the Specialist Skills Hub team as Skills Coach and DPO.

Kev has over 20 years of experience in education, having begun his career with a PGCE in Secondary Religious Studies. Throughout his teaching journey, he has delivered a broad curriculum across Humanities, Business, ICT, Citizenship, and English. In addition to classroom teaching, Kev qualified as a BTEC Level 2 and 3 assessor and has worked as an examiner for Pearson.

His commitment to professional growth led him to complete a second PGCE and, more recently, earn the CIPP/E certification, qualifying him as a data privacy professional. Since then, Kev has served as a Data Protection Officer for a range of local and national charities, supporting their compliance and data governance with diligence and care.

He is known for his thoughtful approach, adaptability, and dedication to ethical practice across both education and data protection sectors.

Kev joins Scott Sammons  and Bev McGowan in leading the Level 4 Data Protection and Information Governance Practitioner apprenticeship programme.
